2024 Alberta Youth Championships

XC Bragg Creek will be hosting the 2024 Alberta Youth Championships again this year! Registration is open on Zone4. This event is intended for U12 and U14 (2010-2013 birth years only). It is a major event for athletes within this 4 year age window and it attracts young Alberta skiers from across the province. Some of our U16 and U18 athletes describe it as “It’s like Nationals for U12s and U14s”. Sometimes clubs from the NWT even attend! Sign-up before it fills up. There are only a limited number of spaces!
Registration includes meals and accommodation at Camp Horizon. It includes a fun dress-up Team Relay Event, a Sprint Ladder Skate Ski event, and an Individual Start Classic Event. Last year’s team relay themes were “All Day Vaca” and “Edmonton NERDic”. What will our theme be this year?!?

Edmonton Nordic will need one female chaperone and one male chaperone to make this event happen! We usually depart Edmonton at ~12:00 on Friday, so we can pre-ski the courses prior to a Team Dinner at a restaurant in West Bragg Creek, and check-in at Camp Horizon. We do our best to car pool to enhance team bonding, as well as minimize our environmental footprint and costs.
