With the temperatures going below freezing overnight and staying there during the daytime, expect harder, faster conditions, particularly where there was water/ ice and sun-exposure with glazed classical tracks and icy patches/areas.

As of last night’s trail-work:

Goldbar: all trails dragged for skate and existing classical tracks in place. Overall in fair condition.  Expect icy areas. 

Capilano: all trails dragged for skate and existing classical tracks in place. Overall in fair condition.  Expect icy areas. 

Goldstick (switchbacks, creek-crossing and creek-crossing loop): all trails dragged for skate and existing classical tracks in place.  Trails getting thin with ice on the switchbacks.  The uphill and downhill at creek-crossing icy – NOT recommended. 

Southloop: extreme ice on downhills – NOT recommended.
