U12 – Track Attack (Learn to Train L2T)
WHO: The Track Attack (TA) program is intended for athletes born in 2013 and 2014 (U12), have graduated from JR 4, JR+, or JR 3 and demonstrate equivalent skills, and have some exposure with fundamentals of classic and skate ski technique. TA’s athletes will run and ski on Nordic trails, or similar, for up to 1.5 hours with occasional hydration breaks.
WHAT: TA is a skill development program aimed at improving skate and classic techniques in a FUN and social team environment Although athletes will be provided an opportunity to participate in local races, this is optional.
Alternative Options: For youth that fall into the U12 age group:
- Jackrabbit Level 4 for a one session/week option that starts in December
- Jackrabbit Learn to Ski for a one session/week option for those new to cross country skiing that starts in December.

WHEN:
Starts Saturday, September 7 to March.
- 2 day – Tues 6:30-8pm, Sat 10-12pm
- 3 day – Tues 6:30-8pm, Thurs 6:30-8pm, Sat 10-12pm
- +1 day biathlon eco-aim optional add on – Sat 12:15 to 1:15pm (starts December)
WHERE:
Dryland locations will vary: Gold Bar Park, Gallagher Park, Kinsmen Park & other locations communicated to participants.
On snow location: Gold Bar Park, Goldstick Park, Capilano Park
COST:

REGISTRATION INCLUDES:
ENSC clothing item
ADDITIONAL COSTS:
ENSC Membership, NC/NA Membership, optional training camps and personal expenses at camps/races.
EQUIPMENT:
Skis – classic and skate skis, combi skis are not recommended
Boots – combi boots are acceptable
Poles – classic poles, skate poles, ski striding poles
Roller Skis – rentals available through ENSC
Rock skis are not mandatory but can be useful for early and late season training
