- FIRST day of Fall/Winter Program
- Who: All XC Program
- Where: Goldbar Pavilion
- When: 6:30 to 8:00 pm
- What: Welcome, Intro and Introductions to all (Mass group)
- Go to respective groups – get to know coach(es)
- Warm Up routines
- Masters to do a mass ski striding session w/Head Coach
- Intro training
- Core Strength
- Bring: Striding Poles, drink belt, warm change of clothes to change into after
Wednesday September 11:
- XC – On Your Own
- 1.0 to 2.0 hrs run or Roller Ski (This is Z1 , which means “conversation” pace)
Thursday September 12:
- Strength and Technique Thursdays
- Who: 3x/week Program
- Where: Edmonton Ski Hill
- When: 6:30 to 8:00 pm
- What: Acclimation Training
- Routines, drills, ski striding, “spenst”, game!!
- Bring: Striding Poles, drink belt, warm change of clothes to change into for “after”
Friday September 13:
- Recovery Day
- Easy run/walk/ski, some core, and light stretching.
Saturday September 14:
- Who: All Programs
- Where: Goldbar
- When: 9:00 am to 11:00 am
- What:
- Coach Driven Workouts/sessions
- Acclimation Training (get used to ski training again – 2 weeks)
- Bring: Ski Striding poles, change of clothes for after, and your dsreink belt 😀
Sunday September 15:
- Suggested Training
- Run, roller ski or bike
- 1 to 2 hrs
- LSD – long, slow, distance (Conversational pace)
